Rhodium is a rare material with excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Rhodium is used in various industries, and fine rhodium wire in particular is used in electronic components. The aim of this study was to fabricate a 30.0 µm fine rhodium wire from an 80.0 µm initial wire using a multi-pass wire drawing process. A drawing pass schedule was designed to fabricate the 30.0 µm rhodium wire. An elastic-plastic finite element analysis was performed to validate the designed multi-pass wire drawing process. A wire drawing experiment was performed to fabricate the 30.0 µm fine rhodium, and the qualities of the final wire were evaluated. The final diameter of the wire was 29.85 µm.
