Introduction This past October, for the first time in its 29-year history, the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) annual scientific meeting was dedicated to the theme of diversity. The course directors, including me, worked conscientiously to increase the number of women and racial/ethnic minorities on the faculty, giving important opportunities to these underrepresented demographics. I was confident that we were making space to publicly discuss and deal with the daily workplace disparities that women and minorities face in interventional cardiology. As a woman, I was prepared to witness a pivotal moment that would serve as a genuine and enthusiastic step toward equality and representation of women in this important international forum. I was excited that the recent movement initiated in Hollywood was now going to have a moment in medicine.
