Key Points Question Among patients with colon cancer, is consumption of unprocessed red meat or processed meats after diagnosis associated with higher risk of recurrence and mortality? Findings In this cohort study of 1011 patients with colon cancer, intake of unprocessed red meat or processed meat was not associated with risk of cancer recurrence or death (disease-free survival) or overall mortality. Meaning These findings suggest that unprocessed red meat and processed meat intakes after colon cancer diagnosis are not associated with time to recurrence or death.
