Key Points Question Among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), is pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) after COPD hospitalization cost-effective in the US health care system? Findings In this economic evaluation using data from published literature, a Markov microsimulation model found that PR after COPD hospitalization resulted in net cost savings. Meaning These findings provide evidence for stakeholders to use to support polices that will increase access and adherence to PR for patients with COPD.
