Key Points Question How are fetal and infant growth patterns associated with early markers of arterial health in children aged 10 years? Findings In this population-based cohort study of 4484 children, those with normal fetal growth that was followed by accelerated infant growth had the highest carotid intima-media thickness and the lowest carotid distensibility. Childhood body mass index seemed to be involved in the pathways underlying the observed associations. Meaning This study suggests that both higher fetal and infant weight growth patterns are associated with early markers of impaired arterial health.
