Key Points Question Is it possible to predict short-term treatment response to tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFis) accurately in patients with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS)? Findings In a cohort study of individual participant data from 1899 patients in 10 randomized clinical trials of TNFis, models based on baseline clinical variables were developed and validated to predict the probability of having major response or having no response after 12 weeks of receiving TNFis, with moderate to high accuracy. Meaning These findings suggest that the probability of initial response to TNFi treatment can be accurately predicted from baseline variables, which may facilitate personalized treatment decision-making.
