Key Points Question Is maternal antenatal corticosteroid treatment associated with psychological developmental and neurosensory disorders in children? Findings In this population-based cohort study comprising 670 097 children, exposure to maternal antenatal corticosteroid treatment, compared with nonexposure, was associated with significantly higher rates of psychological developmental and neurosensory disorders in children. Meaning The findings suggest that the risks and benefits to the offspring of maternal antenatal corticosteroids should be carefully considered when deciding on treatment.
