Key Points Question What tangible and accessible resources, such as scholarships and mentorship, are offered by national medical societies in the support of underrepresented minority and female trainees? Findings In this cross-sectional study of all 45 medical and surgical societies recognized by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, less than half of these societies offered readily accessible scholarships or mentorship opportunities to minority and female trainees despite 84.4% of societies declaring public support of this initiative. Meaning The accessibility of resources related to increasing representation in medical societies appears to be lagging behind published statements of support.
