Key Points Question What is the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) among patients with a prior intracerebral hemorrhage compared with the general population? Findings In this cohort study, 8991 patients with a prior intracerebral hemorrhage had statistically significantly higher rates of MACEs, ischemic stroke, and intracerebral hemorrhage, but not myocardial infarction, than 359 185 age- and sex-matched general population controls. Meaning The results of this study suggest that there is a need for effective secondary vascular prevention after intracerebral hemorrhage.
