Key Points Question Is perceived neighborhood health associated with hypertension self-care behavior or self-efficacy? Findings In this cross-sectional analysis of data from a randomized clinical trial, better perceived neighborhood health was associated with greater hypertension self-care behavior and self-efficacy. The magnitude of these associations was higher among participants with more healthy food availability at home. Meaning The findings of this study suggest that perceived contextual neighborhood features and in-home resources might play a role in hypertension self-care and could be targeted in interventions for optimizing hypertension self-management.
