Key Points Question Is high-dose vitamin D supplementation safe for children aged 0 to 6 years? Findings In this systematic review and meta-analysis of 32 randomized clinical trials including 8400 unique children, high-dose vitamin D administered as a daily or bolus supplement was not associated with an increased risk of serious adverse events. Clinical adverse events associated with the supplementation were rare.
