Key Points Question What is the accuracy of eating disorder information disseminated on a video-sharing social media platform and how do users engage with this information? Findings This qualitative analysis of 200 videos on TikTok found that prorecovery videos contained more informative content than pro–eating disorder and anti–eating disorder videos. Meaning These findings suggest that social media users in the prorecovery community may remediate and address gaps in health information through leveraging technology and experiential knowledge, which could be an effective strategy for building collective resilience against misleading information.
