In article number https://doi.org/10.1002/advs.201900390, Christian A. Nijhuis and co‐workers report molecular control over plasmon excitation via through‐bond tunneling in tunnel junctions based on self‐assembled monolayers. In these junctions, intermittent light emission can be turned‐off by changing the rigidity of the molecular backbone: junctions with stiff conjugated molecular backbones result in stable excitation of plasmons in sharp contrast to those junctions with flexible aliphatic molecules that blink.
