Malignant Transformation of Cells Cadmium (Cd) exposure derived from air pollution and smoking may cause lung cancer. In article number 2206896, Lihua Huang, Yiguo Jiang, and co‐workers reveal the mechanism of the role of circRNA in DNA damage and repair during Cd‐induced transformation of lung epithelial cell. Cd affects the binding of circCIMT and APEX1 protein, which further inhibited DNA base excision repair, resulting in DNA damage accumulation and promoting lung cancer occurrence. These findings provide significant insights into the importance of geneticepigenetic interactions upon chemical‐induced carcinogenesis in human.
