Cross‐Species Insights into Trophoblast Invasion The image depicts the important roles of iTrophoblast in invasive placentation through the Chinese mythology “Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix”. During placentation, iTrophoblast (Phoenix) regulates the invasion of trophoblast cells and the interaction with other cells (Hundred Birds) to ensure the normal development and function of the placenta.
