Metabolic Engineering of Corynebacterium glutamicum In article number 2412670, Jeong Chan Joo, Jin‐Byung Park, Si Jae Park, and co‐workers highlight the development of a metabolically engineered Corynebacterium glutamicum for sustainable production of 1,5‐pentanediol via a lysine‐derived pathway. Through systems metabolic engineering strategies, the final strain produced 43.4 gL−1 1,5‐pentanediol, showcasing systematic approaches to biobased chemical synthesis by microbial cell factories.
