Although we held an international traffic summit in Beverly Hills a few years ago, I am not satisfied with the progress we have made. Our residential streets in both the north and south are too often used as cut through routes. Lax standards on development related traffic by Los Angeles have increased flow traffic on our main arterials. This is one of the biggest threats to our quality of life. I am determined to tackle this issue aggressively if the residents give me a second term as their Councilmember. We must look at smart traffic signals, better sequencing, more aggressive traffic enforcement and strict enforcement of City Codes on parking to floor area ratios. I am committed to doing so.
