Lowering homocysteine (HCY) has beneficial effects on vascular events in primary prevention but not in secondary prevention. Research on serum HCY level and middle cerebral artery (MCA) stenosis is lacking. The purpose of the study was to determine the association between these factors and provide more evidence for the prevention of ischemic stroke.
