Peripheral arteries are constantly exposed to deformation (elongation, twisting, shortening, compression) making bioresorbable scaffolds (BRS) a potentially attractive therapeutic alternative to metallic stents. We conducted a long‐term pilot preclinical study of a novel sirolimus‐eluting BRS in peripheral arteries.
