• Observational studies are needed to understand realworld health status outcomes and clinical care pathways in patients undergoing coronary chronic total occlusion angioplasty. • The overall success rate was high at 12 months with marked and sustained symptomatic benefit, and a trend of lower clinical events. • These results are encouraging and support the use of this intervention in clinical practice.
