Patients with symptomatic significant mitral regurgitation undergoing mitral transcatheter edge ‐ to ‐ edge repair (TEER) and concomitant tricuspid regurgitation (TR) represent a heteroge-nous population, given they may have underlying left ‐ sided, right ‐ sided, or combined disease. Left untreated, severe TR in these patients carries a poor prognosis of 1 year but the longer ‐ term adverse impact has not been reported. 1 It is therefore timely that Brunner et al reported in their single ‐ center experience, that patients who had mitral TEER and concomitant moderate or severe TR, had increased all ‐ cause mortality and heart failure rehospitalization during their 3 ‐ year follow ‐ up. 2
