Several left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) devices are FDA for clinical use for patients who are not good candidates for chronic oral anticoagulation (COA). While the safety and efficacy of LAAO devices were shown in multiple clinical trials and real ‐ world registry data, peridevice leak (PDL) remains an issue. Long ‐ term clinical outcomes of PDL remain unclear.
