Doped, structurally perfect crystals of solid solution Cd1-XMnXTe were grown by high-pressure Bridgman method covering the range of its existence as a zinc blende structure (0 0.45, which is a potentially longest wavelength active material for mid-IR lasing. Consequently, the correlation between the chemical composition and physical properties of the solid solution has been established.
