ECI 2018 is committed to consolidating the reputation of previous ECIs as the primary showcase for the talents of the European immunology [1, 2]. And it is the shared pledge of EFIS and all involved in the organization of ECI 2018 to provide an inspiring setting that is conducive to “building bridges” between basic, translational and clinical science, among junior scientists and established immunologists, and, above all, throughout the European immunology community.
