We report studies concerning the selective mono-functionalization of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDSO) with vinyl-substituted silicon derivatives via the hydrosilylation reaction. Examinations of platinum- and rhodium-based catalysts in the reactions between TMDSO and exemplary vinyl-containing silicon derivatives have enabled appointing the most efficient catalyst, whose application leads to selective partial functionalization of the disiloxane reagent and simultaneous formation of only β-regioisomers.
