It is a great honor for me to introduce Dr. Laurie DeLeve as the 2022 President of AASLD. As her former mentor, current colleague, and friend for more than 30 years, it is with enormous pride that I would like to tell you about the background, education, and academic accomplishments of this remarkably talented role model, mentor, and scientific leader of our field.
