The graph model is verified to be an effective network model, where the edges represent the direct channels between two sites. In practical applications, the sites and channels of the network have uncertain characteristics, and the entire network is represented by a fuzzy graph in this setting. In addition, fuzzy graphs are applied to describe irregular or structured data with uncertainty. This paper considers the problem of edge connectivity and local edge connectivity in bipolar fuzzy graph setting, including the edge connectivity of the entire bipolar fuzzy graph. The characteristics of bipolar fuzzy edge connectivity are obtained in terms of fuzzy theory and graph theory, and furthermore, we apply it to the topology designing of bipolar fuzzy network.
