We read the article by Abd-Elsalam et al.1 in Journal of Medical Virology with great interest. The authors conducted a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of ivermectin for COVID-19 infected patients. They demonstrated shorter length of hospital stay in ivermectin group than that in group without ivermectin, but the difference was not statistically significant.
