The IPB‐D1 chicken, an indigenous breed from Indonesia, is a potentially valuable but insufficiently studied source of bioactive peptides. Egg white proteins from this breed may yield peptides with antioxidant and antibacterial properties, which are of interest for functional food and biomedical applications.
