Transcranial sonography (TCS) is an available and noninvasive neuroimaging method that has been found to reduce the echogenicity of the brainstem raphe (BR) in patients with depression. Applying the criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders‐IV (DSM‐IV), we performed a meta‐analysis of the diagnostic accuracy of TCS.
