Recognition of a mixed hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma (HCC-CCA) in a candidate is generally considered a contraindication to liver transplantation (LT) due to a perception of poor posttransplant survival and high recurrence rates.1 Due to the relative rarity of these tumors and a lack of widely accepted and consistent diagnostic criteria, there is little published data to guide transplant consideration.
