The precise prevalence of anti – N -methyl- D -aspartate receptor encephalitis (anti-NMDARE) is unknown, and the disease is often underreported. This could be attributed to nonspeci fi c clinical and imaging fi ndings of the disease. Movement disorders (MDs) have been documented both in the early and late stages of anti-NMDARE. 1,2 The present case documents both a novel presentation and treatment of N -methyl- D -aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antibody-related MDs. This will enable physicians to understand the wide spectrum of manifestations of this disease.
