Summary A new nonconforming brick element is introduced, which only has 13 DOFs locally and takes P2⊕Span{x13,x23,x33} as its shape functions space. The vector-valued version generates, together with a discontinuous P1 approximation, an inf-sup stable finite element pair of order 2 for the Stokes problem in the energy norm.
