Four‐dimensional (4D) printing, as a revolutionary additive manufacturing technology, is receiving increasing attention and research nowadays. Further, the combination of 4D printing and continuous fiber‐reinforced polymer composites (CFRPCs) has provided new ideas for designing and manufacturing composite structures with customized functions. Herein, a systematic analysis of the research status of 4D printed CFRPCs is presented. Smart materials such as shape memory polymers (SMPs) can be utilized to manufacture CFRPCs to achieve shape change over time. Firstly, the shape memory mechanism of SMPs is analyzed, and the 4D printing process of CFRPCs is introduced. Furthermore, the polymer matrix, continuous fiber reinforcements, and actuation methods of 4D printed CFRPCs are classified and elaborated. Subsequently, various 4D printed structures of CFRPCs, including honeycomb structures, auxetic structures, and active origami, are summarized. Moreover, the application prospects of 4D printing technology for CFRPCs in different fields are discussed. Finally, an outlook on future development directions for 4D printed CFRPCs is provided.
