Intrathoracic ribs are rare congenital anomalies where a supra- or normonumerary rib follows an abnormal course within the thorax (1). Less than 10 cases have been reported in children, being commonly asymptomatic and usually found incidentally (2). Surgical treatment is seldom necessary due to the benign and asymptomatic presentation. However, in symptomatic cases, little is known about optimal treatment strategy. We report a unique case of a symptomatic intrathoracic rib that required surgical treatment by minimally invasive approach This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
