Both respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza‐associated lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI) cause serious respiratory infections in infants and toddlers. We aimed to assess the frequency of complex hospital courses among patients admitted with influenza versus RSV LRTI.
