Recent advances in synthetic and medicinal chemistry of saturated spirocyclic nitrogen-containing heterocycles with gem-difluorocycloalkane moieties are surveyed, including results published in the last decade. In particular, gem-difluoro-substituted derivatives of azaspiro[2.n]alkanes, azaspiro[3.n]alkanes, azaspiro[4.5]decane, and other spirocyclic scaffolds are discussed.
