Low back and lower extremity pain is the most common complaint encountered in pain management practice. Often, pain in the low back and lower extremities is caused by irritation of the lumbar nerve roots, described as lumbar radiculopathy. In this chapter, we discuss an overview of the anatomy, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment options for lumbar radicular pain.
