According to the important principle of plastic surgery “replace like-with like”, a successful soft tissue reconstruction requires autologous tissue transfer. Lipofilling is a frequently used technique in esthetic and reconstructive surgery. In the hand region, one well-known indication of its esthetic application is the lipofilling of the dorsum of the hand. There are limited literature references regarding lipofilling for reconstruction and scar correction in the pulp of the digits. Insufficient fat tissue in the digital pulp can lead to discomfort and reduced finger employment, as the pulp is an important functional area in everyday activities. We present two cases related to trauma sequela, managed with fat grafting for digital pulp reconstruction.Level of evidence: Level V, therapeutic study.
