conventional prokinetics, but also octreotide. In prokinetic drug-resistant cases, antibiotics are administrated to inhibit bacterial overgrowth. However, the optimal choice and dosage of antibiotics and duration of treatment remains unclear [1, 4]. We describe herein a case of SSc in which prokinetic-resistant intestinal pseudo-obstruction and PCI developed, and prompt response was obtained using metronidazole. The presented case could provide a new insight to treatment approaches for prokinetic-resistant pseudoobstruction and PCI in SSc.
