In this paper, an approach towards an uniformly most powerful binomial test is presented. It generalizes the well-known binomial test in that way that it is an uniformly most powerful size-$$\alpha $$α test with $$\alpha $$α the significance level. An illustrative statistical example both clarifies the theoretical approach towards such a test and shows the usefulness of our approach in quality management.
