Dear Editor, We read with the interest the manuscript BComprehensive analysis of Iranian reports of pediatric central nervous system tumors^ by Narjes Mehrvar et al. [1] presenting the result of retrospective analysis of nearly all the communications published by the Iranian researchers about the CNS tumors in children. They have reviewed the reports both written in English and Farsi and have summarized them in tables nicely. Describing the characteristics of the manuscripts stratified to different categories, they showed the objectives of each group separately and briefly. We would like to congratulate Dr. Mehrvar and her group for their deep search in the relevant literature but we could draw nothing but the shortcomings of the mentioned articles neither in the discussion nor in the conclusion! We made a narrative review in the pediatric brain tumors reported during the previous 10 years from the USA. Interestingly enough, the output was quite the same [2–4]. The main points we are going to raise are the following:

Keywords: oncology research; pediatric neuro; third world; neuro oncology; research third; oncology

Journal Title: Child's Nervous System
Year Published: 2017
