Limited dorsal myeloschisis (LDM) is a particular form of spinal dysraphism characterized by a focal midline neural tube defect and a fibroneural stalk linking the skin lesion to the underlying spinal cord [1]. This entity was described by Pang et al. [1]. Distinguishing LDM from myelomeningocele could be difficult in the antenatal stage, particularly in its saccular form. These two conditions have totally opposite prognosis and misdiagnosis may lead to an inaccurate decision concerning continuation or termination of pregnancy. We report an impressive case of LDM diagnosed prenatally with a normal neurological evolution to illustrate the role of appropriate prenatal counseling in such a situation.
