Vortex-assisted liquid–liquid microextraction employed for the isolation and preconcentration of analytes can be used together with various detection techniques in order to obtain a very versatile tool for the chemical analysis. This allows the analyzing of a great variety of analytes in very diverse concentrations. This review is an update of the manuscript published in 2014 by the same authors.
