In this study, different extracts from the seeds of Desmodium styracifolium were screened for their potential antioxidant activities by reducing power and hydroxyl and superoxide radical assays. From the above tests, n-BuOH extract of D. styracifolium seeds exhibited good reductive potential and obvious scavenging effect on hydroxyl (OH), and superoxide (O2–) radicals. Therefore, bioassay-guided fractionation and a chemical investigation of n-BuOH extract were carried out, and three new flavonol glycosides (1, 2, 4) together with a known compound (3) were isolated. The chemical structures were further determined by a combination of 1D, 2D NMR, and HR-MS.
