Cadmium lithium phosphate, LiCdPO4, has been prepared by the solid state reaction method and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction at room temperature. This compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with Pnma space group. Vibrational study by means of Raman spectroscopy confirms the existence of the (PO4)3− functional group. The electrical properties have been investigated in the frequency range 209 Hz–1 MHz and temperature range 584–686 K. Experimental measurements of ac conductivity were fitted by the Jonscher’s universal power law: $${\sigma _{ac}}={\sigma _{dc}}+A{\omega ^n}.$$σac=σdc+Aωn.
