Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO), which is one of the most promising solid electrolytes, has received great attention toward development of all solid-state lithium ion batteries in recently years due to its high lithium ion conductivity and relative stability against lithium metal at room temperature. However, high sintering-temperature goes against the processing and application of LLZO. Meanwhile, high sintering-temperature will exert great impact on composition and electric property of LLZO for volatilization of Li2O. In this study, LLZO is fabricated by doping with Mg to decrease sintering-temperature. Experimental results show that the sintering-temperature of Mg doping LLZO is reduced to 1000 °C, lower about ∼230 °C than that of LLZO. And the sintering-time is shorten to 12 h, reducing about 24 h. In addition, Mg doping LLZO exhibits well stability to lithium metal between 0 and 4.8 V, and exhibits 10–12% transparency to visible light from 500 to 800 nm.
