On the basis of theoretical analysis of the rheodynamics of a powder material in the process of its indirect compaction with active action of an external friction force, the influence of this friction force on the density distribution of the material in the bulk of its sample was investigated. The advantages of the indicated compaction method over the one-side high-temperature compaction of powder materials, used most frequently in power metallurgy and in self-propagating high-temperature synthesis technologies, were substantiated.

Keywords: high temperature; compaction; friction force
