In this paper, we report a simple electrochemical strategy for the preparation of an electrode material based on polypyrrole (PPy) film grown on silicon substrate via oxidative polymerization technique and functionalized by palladium microparticles dispersed on its surface. SEM examination indicates the uniformity in loading of Pd on PPy surface forming a coral-like network structure. The XRD pattern confirms the formation of Pd. The effects of the applied potential as well as the time of electrolysis on the morphological evolution of the as-deposited Pd particles were investigated.
