Using Ginzburg–Landau simulations, we study the effect of a multigeometric modulation of the superconducting condensate, imposed by the spatially nanoengineered critical temperature T c inside a mesoscopic superconductor. A plethora of intriguing vortex states is reported in the presence of the applied magnetic field, reflecting the rich interplay of symmetries imposed by the sample boundary and the chosen polygonal distributions of reduced or enhanced T c .
